Default Wolf - first of the year.

Will be trying to reduce their numbers & take some pressure off the elk, moose and deer population.

This is an alpha-male, stretched 8ft, which is huge for a non-arctic wolf!

That is fantastic. Tell us a little about the hunt and where you hunted. As always I can not get over how big some of them are! Mentally we do not think of them being that big! What rifle and caliber rifle did you use?

Well done. Wolves are just about the hardest animal to successfully hunt on this continent.

Looks like you made a good shot on him, too. I picked a big female off an elk years ago and she stretched about the same. They are not small.

Hunting Grey Wolves is legal in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

The Government Dogs are a serious problem in the West. These animals are used by the Leafiest Green movement to control public lands use.
The Wolves are used to control elk, moose etc. and reduce access to hunting by the public. Their habitat protection is used to ban mineral exploration and grazing.
