By far bear meat is probably my favorite. I'll take a bear roast over a venison roast any day. If you shoot a bear and don't want the meat, I'm sure you can find someone to take it, I know I would.

I believe Hunting is primal and an inalienable right.

Why do I Hunt?????????
For the same reason that every one else should hunt!!!! The Kill, and to Feed the People Of The Tribe, I don't kill for the Rack. You only butcher the old past it's prime. Let the big bucks sow their oats then put them to rest. Would a cattle rancher kill his prize bull. Thin out the does. To many Sows will ruin the crop! Hunt to eat and eat every thing you kill! Times are a changing!!!!!! La. is no longer a sportsman paridise. Wills in da Swamp in La.

We bread 'Gator nuggets in corn meal, eggs, lime& lemon juice then deep-fry it in peanut oil.
I reckon it could be broiled, etc but I have only had it as nuggets.
So in short I hunt ta eat.

why do i hunt ?
thats kind of deep if you really think on it .....my father/grandfathers people never hunted ..city folks ..my brother and i kind of taught ourselves ...bb guns shooting targets, birds, snakes, went squirrel hunting with friends after we moved to a more rural environment..then on to w.t. deer ,ducks ,hogs mule deer .,elk i didnt kill my first deer til i was 21 im 45 now..to me its a way to decompress ...get some peace ..watching the woods wake up from pitch black silence to that hint of pink light til you hear that first bird chirp ..on my first elk trip looking up at the stars ...and thinking that that 1000s of years ago a hunter was doin the same thing ...trying to beat a magnificent ,nature tuned beast at his own game..i guess you could call it a primitive belonging..

My dad got me into hunting and I LOVE it! I hunt for white tail deer and various small game animals such as squirrel and rabbit...
I not only gun hunt but love to bow hunt as well.. I like to go hunting because it helps me to escape from all the problems I may have and all the problems going on in the world around us
