First deer gun to hunt with was a Winchester model 37, 16 ga., 30 inch barrel, full choke. First deer kill was buckshot with a SKB model 1300, 12 ga. First rifle kill was a Winchester model 70 ranger 30-06.

My first deer rifle was a scope mounted Ruger M77 in 308. It was one of the early ones when they first came out. I wish I still had it but sold it in a weak moment.

I, and many others, have observed that the most ruthless, dishonest people on the face of the earth are the secular progressives. To them the end justifies the means. They are totally devoid of an morals, ethics, and lack any personal integrity. Case in point, our current administration.

Stay on the subject. This thread is about one's first deer rifle, not about government or about saying that one's comments are BS.

A few years ago we harvested a CWD deer. It was small and light enough to move one handed. Cut her open and the muscles down her spine was green and spongy. Did her a favor.
