Bought my first Deer rifle at 18. It was a Marlin 336c, gold trigger, 30-30, was manufactured around 1968. Was my favorite rifle for many, many years. I wish I still had that one.

This is my first deer gun. Bought used by my father when he got back from Nam in 1968 for my mother. We were living in Phoenix Az. at the time. Moved the next year to Columbus Ms. the next year and I got the gun. I was 15 at the time. The year is 1969. My dad a bought a small farm that had deer all over it. I was in heaven.

The gun.

My sons first buck at age 12 with the rifle.

Yours truly with his first buck killed on his own in 1969. Been a deer hunter since that day.

Very nice buck! Wish we had more big deer around here! Haha I'm in the Appalachian mountains in western NC and there used to be deer in my front yard all the time bucks occasionally but in the past year or so I haven't seen a deer come close.

I shot my first deer with a borrowed Savage 99 in 300 Savage.
The first deer rifle I owned was an 03A3 sporterized my dad gave me when I turned 16.
