Like couple others stated, it really depends on where and what time of year. I think my fav is snow camo, i dont know why cause I really hate white. When I go coyote hunting in the winter and have my full camo head to toe and my gun wrapped then you really blend right in to the background.

For regular camo I would say Mossy Oak

the army digital sucks (too light), but the marine's rock (especially in early spring turkey season when the leaves are just starting out).

I like the blaze orange kind.

It's funny how SOME deer hunters spend $400 on Camo gear just to throw on a bright orange vest to cover it up. If the deer can't see orange, you could hit the woods looking like Ronald Mcdonald and it wouldn't matter. As for any time you don't wear a vest it makes more sense.

Just my opinion. As for favorites, I'm partial to the 80's and 90's woodland camo, when I was a kid I always got hand me down Marine fatigues, really liked them.

deer ARE color blind but blaze orange appears bright white in b&w (hardly a natural blend in the woods)

On that Navy blue digital camo, some of the Navy guys I've talked to here in San Diego joke that it's perfectly designed - so you can't be seen when you fall overboard.

Guys, deer are NOT color blind, they just see colors differently. Orange appears as just another shade of green to them, not the blazing attention grabber it is for humans. So it makes perfect sense to wear camo so the deer can't see you and orange so that humans can.

That out of the way, my favorite camo is Realtree Xtra Brown. It's not so busy that it blends into one brown blur at distance while being fairly realistic looking close up. There have been some advances in photorealism in camo in the last 20 years, so I'd love a new generation RXB with the same outline breaking pattern and colors with contemporary realism.
