One day , an older gentleman stopped to ask me how my lawn was so lush , thick and green ? NEGLECT......! He looked at me puzzled and said what do you mean ....? Fact is , I just started my own business and was working seven days a week and long hours . I got lucky and got my toe into the right door , business took off like a dang rocket , nearly killed myself trying to keep up .

I told him I just didn't have time to cut it much but I noticed something , when ever it got about ten inches tall , it would blossom with seeds on all the tops ,
Hmmmmm.....I'd cut it once every two weeks and in Florida , you know how fast it grows . Yes Sir , total NEGLECT ....IT JUST KEPT GETTING THICKER , GREENER
DARN STUFF WOULDN'T QUIT.........

Oh yeah , my point , GO FISHING ......

I did the same here in S. ME I broke my back hauling loam, seed, fertilizer etc for my front and side lawn. When it came to the
back yard I was out of time and steam. So when the wild grass in the back yard went to seed I would mow it and once it got established I hit it with weed killer and voila, grass that wanted to be there.

This morning Management (wife) said "Are those two birds in the yard turkeys?"
I looked out the window. "No, dear, those are buzzards." It might be time to see what died and perhaps fire up the mower.
