Is it fun??? Are you crazy??? It a freaken blast. I've had as much fun sitting in the woods listening to the birds gobble on the roost for an hour and never seeing one as I have actually calling one in and taking it home.
I've been turkey hunting for 15 years and I haven't been deer hunting for 14 years. It's a waist of time compared to turkey hunting.

If it's not too much to ask, what state do you plan on hunting in? Hunting regulations vary from state to state. Some require tags and some don't.

Also I would suggest that you maintain ONE thread on the subject instead of starting a new one every time a new question pops into your head.

Being able to understand a book of hunting regulations is a required skill if you are going to go hunting and stay out of trouble. Do a Google search on

(your state) hunting regulations

and you should be able to find what you need.
