Can you use a 22 for turkey hunting and if you can't what do you use

I'm assuming you plan to hunt in Nevada:

NRS 503.150 Manner of hunting game birds or mammals.

1. Unless otherwise specified by Commission regulation, it is unlawful to hunt:
........
(d) Game birds with any rifle or handgun, or in any manner other than with a shotgun held in the hand, with a longbow and arrow or by means of falconry.

There aren't a lot of places to find turkeys in Nevada:

so do some scouting before you buy a tag.

Even if rifles were legal a 22 would be a poor choice. A shotgun with a full or tighter choke would be a better bet.
