I am looking for input or feedback on these two rifles in .308.

This will be my first hunting rifle purchase and thought that I had decided on the Thompson, until there factory went into back order til mid September.

Then I see the A-Bolt on sale for the same price $599. Does anyone have experience with these two firearms? What would the advantage of the A-Bolt be over the Thompson?

I have Brownings and can easily recommend the A-bolt. The A-bolt is what my personal deer rifle is. The A-bolt offers
concealed detachable magazine
3 locking lugs
60 degree bolt throw
tang safety
adjustable trigger
comes factory glass bedded
factory free floated barrel
epoxy finish (on wood stocks)
All of the A-bolts I've seen will reliably shoot 1 moa or less
I don't have any experience with the TC Venture so I don't know what it has to offer.
