Not sure how you mistake a kid for a deer?

dog2000tj 12-07-2009 11:07 PM

Year after year and I still find this unbelievable. WTF is wrong with people? :(

cpttango30 12-07-2009 11:19 PM

Haven't these people ever heard effing BINOCULARS. I mean every time I set foot in the field to hunt I have a pair on me.

Good gawd what a horrible thing. A young man, gone. For nothing. I cant imagine what the family is going through.

spittinfire 12-08-2009 12:52 AM

Hey, same thing happen to a guy I went to high school with except he shot his uncle. I don't know exactly what happen, only that he shot his uncle by mistake. It's sad.

i simply cannot comprehend how that can happen. it just amazes me how rock stupid people are. firing into brush becasue it moved. how is that moron sure he has a heart/lung shot or a shoulder shot???? how does he know it wasnt a bear and shot over its head to piss it off?? just disregard any sort of common sense and crank off rounds into the brush...

that is EXACTLY the sort of individual that deserves to lose his freedom for a good long time. there is no excuse for such things. shooting an animal through and through and the round glanceing off a rock or some hidden object and streaking off and accidentaly hitting someone is one thing but just cranking rounds into a brush pile??

I agree JonM, an accident like this one should never have happened. No ethical hunter would take a shot through heavy brush at something moving that he couldn't possibly identify.

It seems like this happens every hunting season. What a tragedy.
