Default TC Icon Input

Hi ya all. I'm looking at buying a Thompson Center Icon 300 Win Mag with a Hawke panorama 3-9x50 optics on it. I've looked at review's online nothing bad pretty much all good but I would like to hear if anyone has opinions on here about either gun or optics. I've been on here long enough to take the opinion of the people on this site! Thanks for any input good or bad want to hear what you think.

I have a Thompson Center Venture in 7mm-08.

This is one awesome rifle. I would imagine the Icon is as well.

The quality is second to none. Life time warranty and MOA guarantee are nice also. The Venture shoots MOA with every factory load I have tried.

I have been looking at T/C lately, reports are almost all really good, once I start my new job I will be looking for a Stainless Venture/Icon in 25-06. I normally buy Tikka or Savage rifles but both of them make their 25-06 with a 22" tube and I think a 24" is about the minimum for a cartridge like that.

I love my Venture 30-06. The Icon's are a very nice rifle and I would buy one in 300WM or 338WM if they had a 26" pipe on them.

I own 2 Icons and I think you are making a very good choice. I really like the factory features these rifles come with. The Icons are very well built quality products. You can easily spend three times the money on other top shelf guns and not bring home any more quality. If I had to come up with a criticism it would probably go toward the detachable box mags but you can find models with a hinged floor plate set-up.

Find you some quality glass and rings and you should be happy as a clam.
