I know from experience in CO, FL, and AL if you start feeding them you are asking (in a very loud voice) for trouble!!!
An armed society is not always a polite society, but it is a free and safe society!
Self Defense is an absolute and natural right!

Raccoons are tough critters. One morning we had a big boar raccoon in a hog trap. My partner bent to open the gate and let the animal out. Told him "don't even think about it" and shot the animal. A big raccoon is capable of tearing a persons face off.

I have taken dozens of the vermin with CB caps. One right between the blinkers and its over, a little thrashing and quiet.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
