^^a good wadcutter pellet going 1,000fps will actually smack and drop a squirrel better than a .22,yet less change of roof damage or neighbor injury, pellet gun is the way to go. __________________ S&W 915 9mm

I think Shihan is out practicing his falconry. He'll be around to help you in a few days. __________________ Honor Student: School of Hard Knocks

I used to shoot the little critters off my neighbor's roof with a Feinwerkbau .177 using the old, now impossible to find Cro-Magnum pellets.
ALL fun in the sun. __________________ "If you take your hands off the back of my cruiser one more time...I will make your birth certificate a worthless document!" |

Once you get the oil cleaned out of the air cylinder, the silenced pellet guns are really quiet. Just dont break the sound barrier with the super high speed pellets. I prefer the 22 caliber air rifles. __________________ "I would not be an old man if I had not been an armed young man." JTJ

Roof rats? What roof rats? I have a small herd of these big critters in my yard. Don't think a Gamo .177 is potent enough. But then again, it is all about shot placement isn't it? __________________ Springfield 1911: Like American express, Don't leave home without it. |
