Every hunter's dream! To get a tag, and than to actually do it. The closest I'll ever get to shooting an elk is the Tioga game preserve...

Hey DILLENGER do you know what bullet your boss used. When I was guiding I also was knifed in the leg by another guide, I was squatting down skinning the front legs of an elk while the other guide was skinning higher and he dropped his knife. The knife penatrated all the way to the hilt. For those that have never tasted elk do so it is fine dining.

Did you folks take the 16 on the way back through Buffalo by any chance? It sure looks like one I saw come through town on the back of a pick up and trailer.
