Have you seen doe and buck sign where your hunting? If your on private land, try using a buck scent and make mock scrapes, spray scent on tree rubs. Use doe in heat too, right now they are very territorial and will fight anything, rattle some too!

They say doe meat is better than no meat. In my experience the 100 LB, 18 month old doe is the best eating of any critter in the woods.

FACT!!

I'll take a mature 2 1/2 y/o doe over ANY nasty azz, rutted up buck any day!! You can taste the testosterone in the meat and its NOT a pleasant flavor! Doe is tender and tasty!!

I have also found that the bones on the heads of the male cervids make a pretty thin and tasteless stew...not to mention being hard on the teeth.

No it`s me, I don`t need to kill a Doe to eat & I may kill a Doe yet. Where we hunt is right next to a State Park & there are deer out the wazzu, my little brother & nephew have already taken two 8 pointers & three Doe. I have seen two big old boys, but just have not got a shot yet or should I say not taken a poor shot, Ill get a shot with the smoke pole maybe, I hope..............
