Ive got some snap traps just for them. But mine is keeping them away from what little pecans we get. lol . Also have a friend that loves to eat them with dumplins.

Marshmallows soaked with anti freeze. Squirrels are Gods little speed bumps. The only real way to defeat them is to kill them. If you can't drive over them with your car, feed them a special marshmallow.

And yes, today I set my cameras back out on the trails. But formulated a concoction of Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper and Red Pepper. Crushed it up to a fine powder, stirred and Boiled it in water on the stove then filtered it through a paper towel. Put it in a spray bottle and doused the tree around the camera and the top and back of the cameras with it. Hopefully it will light their fire if they start chewing on it or climb the tree in the area and lick their feet. Maybe I will get some interesting photos of the response? If I do I will be sure and post them. We will see what happens! Thank all for your ideas!

I am wondering if the smell of that would keep the game animals away, too.

You could just feed the little suckers nearby with a birdfeeder or something to keep them happy and off of your camera.

if i had a problem with those tree rats, i'd be popping them with a 22 and putting them in stew pot or a skillet.

my stepmother could make chicken fried squirrel that was out of this world and her squirrel dumplings, would make you beg for more!

I use to make quite a meal out of them when camping. Big pot of stew. Maybe some rabbit added if the day was good.

my stepmother would dredge them in milk and flour and fry them just like chicken. she would also make dumplings out of rabbit or squirrel. my stepmom could cook anything we killed and make it delicious. she was one helluva cook!
