Need bow help quick!!
I have a buddy with a bow he's getting rid of that I kinda really want to buy. However I don't know much about bows and how much they are worth. It's a 2005 Parker ez draw 50-60lbs, 28" draw. I can say that it's in mint condition and comes with a 3 pin illuminated sight, brand new whisker biscuit, 5 arrow quiver, wrist trigger release, case and about 10 Easton arrows. Bow is super smooth and easy to draw and has a let off of about 80%.
So my question is, is his asking price of 550 a reasonable number? I feel like for a 7 year old bow that's a little much even with all the extra stuff with it.. I found package bows online for 400-500 and would just need a release and arrows. I need help on this ASAP cuz I don't want him to sell it to someone else if I don't act quick. Thanks for he help guys.

That's way too much money for a bow that old . $300 is more acceptable . But if u have $500 to spend to to bass pro and take a look at a ready to shoot diamond for $400 or cabelas and look at a quest hammer package for $400 . The hammer is fairly fast , smooth and super quiet . Then u have a bow with warranty .

If I were looking at $550.00, I'd look elsewhere.

Yeah, hes crazy.......he can ask it, but hes only gonna get that kinda money from a fish!
I can get a new winchester all set up from my bowyer for that kind of money.
If i was you i would avoid the big box stores and hunt a quality archey shop

I bought an older Bear, 9 years old with everything and a hard case for $100.00
2 years ago for my son. It was restrung and tuned at the end of the previous season.

Ok thanks for the help guys.. I like that PSE but they only have it in left handed. I really like this Diamond Archery Outlaw TSN package on cabelas.. 500 bucks just gotta get some arrows..
Now what are your guys inputs on arrow and broadheads? I need to stay at 5g per pound right?
So happy I didn't buy that Parker before asking around!!

Most any arrows will be above that other than a few . Gold tip,and PSE bowmadness arrow are really durable. Just shoot 100 gr tips and broadheads , I prefer fixed blades and have had great success with slick trick mags ..60# bow will easily take deer so keep that in mind ..
Just pick a few out and ask to shoot them all and pick.the one that feels best in ur hand and balances well for u . That will be the one u want . If u pick one that looks cool but doesn't fit ur hand well u may not shoot it as well as one that feels better . Feel not looks

Hunter's Friend, America's Busiest Archery Store ... Discount Compound Bows and Hunting Equipment
go to a archery shop and shoot a few bows, when you find one that you like order from these guys, get to pick your rest, sight, even comes with a quiver, arrows, broadheads, release and what not, all set up, tuned and shipped ready for final sight in, in your choice of case, you also get a warranty from these guys, this is how I have purchased my last couple of bows, getting ready to have em build me a bear anarchy, or a bowtech invasion coming up here at the end of the season for next year. you may also call them and they will gladly let you substitute items for your perfect bow package.

Slick trick, muzzy, rage they are all great broadheads. These are slick trick one hundred grains. They shoot great and hit like a freight train off either my hoyt ultratec or my matthews monster 7.0. I havent hunted w my newest bow which is a maxxis but i know they dang sure hit a target hard off from it. Sorry the pic sucks
