my first hunt with 1417 22rimi
just a insight to me
35 yrs young
bike tech bmw
shooting airguns since 11yrs old
rapid 7 11ftb .20
gun just got
m1 carbine 22wmr
Anschutz 1417 22lr
bsa martini singleshot
when i did airgun hunting it was hard to get close to quarry and field craft was very important
now with 22 rimi its more important on bdc than ever as 35yrds was airgun range and rimi is from 50,120 yrds from what i have red
i need to sort out a range finder then spend time working out bdc
i dont like milldot scopes and too speed up i now have joined 101 target club.there shoot out to 1000yrds

Amazing. That's a hell of a kill. Was it clean? I worry with the lower caliber.

Just remember that, in Texas, it is illegal to hunt with anything that is not center fire.

You can't use rimfire to hunt small game and/or varmints????? Something sounds funny about that but since I'm not in Tx I don't know for sure.

2009-2010 Summary of Fishing and Hunting Regulations
Game animals and game birds may be hunted with any legal firearm,
EXCEPT: White-tailed deer, mule deer, desert bighorn sheep, and pronghorn antelope may NOT be hunted with rimfire ammunition of any caliber.

Yeah, well I didn't read down that far before I posted, so there! 
There's no daily limit on rabbits... or racoons, prairie dogs, squirrels, hogs, or any other varmints in Texas.

Saaaweeet. I'd be takin the bunnies all day long every day. That's some good eatin'. Here in Ohio, I won't hunt squirrel until after the first freeze. It kills the warbles and other paracites.
