My First HawG
 

Well, good news... i caught my first boar.... this one was shot with a Win 27o... a very clean shot, right between the eyes. One shot, one kill.. this one weighed in right about 165 pounds... not sure what grain or anything, since its my uncles gun... but it was a very nice shot... i did happen to shoot another piglet at about 175 yards, but i gut shotted him, soooo, it was no good.. anyways, coming up in February, like ive said, im getting me an FNAR-.308... let me know what yall think,,,

Congrats! No wild boar in my parts but that rascal looks like hes been eating well by all the body fat.

Congrats in the nice fat hog. The ones here usually do not have that much fat but there are exceptions.

i know, thank yall... im excited... well, i took him to the processing place today, and yeah... hes got plenty of meat on him... we ended up getting 45 lbs of boudain, 2 hams, some pork chops, and whatever is left will be smoked sausage and jalapeno and cheese sausage... so pretty good eating... not bad for my first...

Good eatin, bro. I just came back from a week south of Halletsville, TX looking for that trophy boar but no luck. I shot an 80-pounder who stopped while crossing a trail--which was his mistake--but not a whole lot of meat.
