Default Memorable hunts

What is your most memorable hunt? Mine was 50 years ago. It was the first animal I killed. I was going through some old photos and found this one of that hunt.

I got to tell you JTJ that after nearly 45 years of hunting, all the hunts were memorable.

The day after Thanksgiving this year was by far my favorite. I was hunting with my ten year old granddaughter that morning when a nice doe and yearling presented themselves out at 70 yards. I handed Haley Jo her gun and told her to take careful aim. As I waited for the shot Haley said she didn't have a shot as there were too many trees in the way. I looked down and noticed that she didn't even have her face on the stock but boy was she ever excited. I told her it was alright because she needed more trigger time anyway and we'd shoot her next year.

From now on until next year this will be my most memorable hunt.
