Badshot- that Hawken gets loaded with Maxi balls that I cast from lead so soft it you drop one on a hard surface, it dents. Lubed with beeswax and tallow. Several years ago I got 175 lbs of PURE scrap lead foil at a govt auction for 25 cents. Not per pound- for the whole lot. That's enough for over 3,000 maxis. Then I have to find some more lead......
First buck with that rifle was a 6 pointer at 100 yds. He moved about 3 ft- namely, he fell over- and did not get up.

Still working on getting some pics up.......camera's messed up.
Was spending some quality,iron sight time yesterday.A true mini-Mauser,from old world craftsman.Though its less than 10 years old.....CZ527 Lux.
We can hold it in the bttm of a beer can with hunting positions(leaning against tree's)in the 75-100 yd range.

1943 Swedish M46a (Potato chucker) 9.3x57. 286gr JSP or 285gr hard cast lead at about 2100 FPS.
