So, are there any left-handed hunters out there? I just bought myself a savage 7mm Rem Magnum. It's left handed, bolt action, with a walnut stock. I was wondering if I am getting a very good gun. I won't get it in time for this year's hunt, though. __________________ ca.gunnin.qt |

My shooting buddy has an older left handed Savage 7mm mag. He shoots the heck out of it. Unless they've messed them up, it's a good rifle. I don't think you'll be disappointed. __________________ Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) - a system of government where those least capable of leadership are elected by those least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to succeed or provide for themselves are rewarded with goods and services paid for by wealth confiscated from a diminishing number of people who actually work and produce.

I'm a lefty and shoot a Weatherby Mark V 7 mm mag.
I've not shot the savage you have, but a hunting buddy of mine has one and loves it.
Good hunting. |

I also shoot lefty, eye dominance thing! You can't go wrong with getting a Savage, especially if it has an Accutrigger. I have never cared for the factory wood or synthetic stocks that Savage uses, but that is an easy fix with all the aftermarket stocks available if you don't like the factory stock.
I have always shot right handed rifles for the most part, but I have a couple lefties in the safe,a Savage 110FLP 300WM (my avatar pic),and a Savage 93GL 22WMR. |

That Savage is a very good gun that will give you long trouble free service. |

I shoot off my left shoulder, but I use the regular guns with no problems. |

I shot my whole life right handed then lost most of the vision in my right eye learning to shoot lefty is/was hard. shot gun and combat pistol is no problem but hunting with my rifles is a challenge. __________________ Live free or die. sorta off topic, but most left handed shooters that i know are more efficient than the right handed shooters with right handed guns if they have a rest or bipod. they can work the bolt with the right hand while pulling the trigger with the left hand and still be accurate __________________ Bushrat for life |
