I still had a fun day. I spent some range time shooting up some ammo that doesn't group well. I had some generic Russian stuff in a white box, 123 gr hp., some Wolf Military Classic FMJ, Brown bear and some other non-descript junk I'd gathered up. Shot it up at the piece of hanging boiler plate at 200 yards... off hand, standing. I was very pleased that the Yugo performed so well.
One real surprise, someone had given me a box of .22 Blazer (CCI)... it shot great!) I usually take a .22 along just to plink some.
The CZ52 did a little better since I put the Hogue grip on it. The Hornady 90 gr STP shot just under 3" at 25 yards. (Two handed hold rested on the bench).
.45 cal muzzle loader put together from odd pieces kept hangin on the half cock notch. I took some of that off today... seems to have cured the problem.
Only a couple other shooter at the club. Both are long time friends. We had a pleasant visit between shooting sessions.
Hope all you guys had a pleasant week end. __________________ Remember... at the end of the day... it gets dark. |
