1112, There are bolt guys, Lever Guys, and pump action guys. I'm not a small person, so I have issues w/ many lever guns. The 1892 is the exception. Bolt guns are great, but don't allow super fast follow up shots. Pump actions allow for very fast follow up's, but tend to spawn bad spray and pray habits. It really comes down to what you are comfortable with. 90% of all whitetail are taken within 100 yards. A standard 150gr FN .30-30 would work just fine.
