Hunting on private property

My buddy's parents have 34 acres and some yotes attacked their dogs. Well they don't have guns to pursue the yotes themselves. My question is, do you need a hunting license to shoot yotes on private property? (In California)

Are they out in the country? You could call the local sheriff and see if it would be ok, or the game warden just be sure to tell them they are causing problem. CYA because you can't believe the inter-net!;)

check your states game laws and maybe contact the game warden in that district.

pretty sure you don't have to have tags, but might need a license. but be sure to check to be on the safe side of the law.

In Georgia, too, and even at night.

If you have any questions don't post on the internet and SSS- shoot, shovel, shut up

Check with your local Fish & Wildlife. Speaking from a long-ago experience with those folk, they generally donít approve of self-help in such matters.

And they will hang you out to dry in a heartbeat!

Check with your local LEOs.
Inasmuch as your in CA, you will probably need to at least fill out a form of some sort and pay a fee.

The farther north you go in this state, the more extreme you are considered.
By the time you get up by I80, people visibly shake at the talk of firearms.
