Dude I'd love to hunt SE Iowa but I'm stuck here in SE Wisconsin. Maybe we can trade a hunt someday. How's the pheasant population?

I'd love to do some hunting in that area but it's a bit of a drive for me. Ever hunt NC?

Hey Joe,,,,,Swapping a hunt sounds great. The pheasant count in this area
real low. The bobcats and coyotes are doing a number on them. I didn't see
a dozen last year. I can't do the walking like I use to. Got arthritis in my knee's. I love to go to south Dakota every year and shoot prairie dogs.
Last year they came out with a new law that you can't drive on the
National Grasslands anymore. I can't walk 3 or 4 miles and carry all my gear.
I'm wanting to get into coyotes hunting, got the gear, just need a little
coaxing to go do it. Suppose to get another 12 to 18 inches of snow tonight.

Hey Joe, on my way to fishing yesterday I seen some guys out hunting yotes with dogs and snowshoes. It looked like fun as they had one yote in the rear of the truck but I'm too old to keep up with dogs especially on snowshoes.

What kind of turkeys you got down that way. We have a pretty nice flock of Eastern but I'd sure enjoy hunting one of the other sub species.

I drew a tag for the second period here in Wisconsin that begins April 20th. and runs for 5 days. This will be my 19th. spring in the turkey woods and I'm as excited as if it were my first.

Hey Joe,,,I'm 58 and can't do that either. I have a electronic remote caller.
I use camo just like turkey hunting. I have a .243 Browning BLR and reload
55 grain nosler ballistic tip bullets. Its good to 400 yds. Use to use if for
prairie dogs. Now I have a Savage model 12 in stainless in 204 ruger.
If you would like, you can email me at reloaderman@gmail.com. Its much
easier than going to this site. We have Eastern turkeys here and I've got
37 birds so far. We can shoot up to 3 a year. I went to the Black Hills of
South Dakota 2 years ago for Meriams. I saw some but could not get a
shot. It was still a fun triip.
