Perfect 'BBQ' size. I got a 175 lb sow last night. The 'BBQ' size came in after we called it a night.

Nice traps...
I have had the best luck with corn soaked in diesel. They love it!

I know that hogs will eat fermenting grain and fruits. I don't know that hogs will eat rancid food. Hogs can get food poisoning just like we can. I used to get out of date pastries to feed hogs. Once the yeast went sour the hogs would eat the pastries but they preferred any sanitary food I gave them.

The hogs we 'slopped' would eat everything we fed them except citreous fruits and peels..

Mate the feral pigs here eat rotten Kangaroo, cow, sheep etc carcasses that literally are "walking" with maggots in them.

A few years back on a cull hunt in our Northern Territory we were shooting feral horses and donkeys to use as pig and wild dog bait and the pigs wouldn't touch them till they had started to decompose and were literally a sloppy mess.
It's 1 of the reasons most pig hunters don't eat them here especially during Summer as you just don't know what they've been eating.
