A simple game feeder with corn is all you need. If there are hogs in your area, they will find it,and if you don't shoot at them for a short time, they will just keep coming in to feed.
This is just one group of pigs that come to one of my feeders, there are several others.

The idea behind the diesel is that it will keep the deer away from the corn. Hogs will still eat it. I have personally seen them do it, but at least to my knowledge they are about the only critters out there that will come anywhere near it.

Ah, thanks for that explanation. I can't believe any critter would eat diesel fuel. Weird.

This is what we do, cap each end of the pipe and anchor one end to a tree or big log. I tend to hold my fire for a while, let em root around and enjoy themselves because sometimes the older bigger boars will hang back for a while. You don't get old rushing into things

We tried the type of feeder you pictured and it don't work because the hogs would knock it down by pushing on the legs. We have had to suspend our feeders from trees or from cables between trees to keep them from knocking them down.
