I'm with bear on this one. I haven't used open sights since I was in the Army. Even then I didn't like open sights.

Bear you can take a scope off after you mount it to a gun? WOW I am going to have to try this.

+1 I have the older m695 in .300 win mag. It is factory garanteed to put 3 shots inside of a 25cent piece at 100 yards. The recoil is the best of any 300 I fired. The trigger pull is very light out of the box. The bolt cycle is flawlessly smooth. The only complaint I have is the clip is kinda clumsy when removing it. Mine has the 26 inch barrel with iron sights (optional). I need iron sights here because we do a lot of cut over hunting where you can walk out on a moose 30 feet away.
