Help!!! Bears

Need to move the bear And the bear hunt is months away. An there are very little deer here. Is there any kind o food I can put out that the deer will eat but the bear won't.

Bad news. Deer are ruminant herbivores- plant eaters. Bears are omnivores, with a diet heavily directed to plants with high energies (berries) and meat of opportunity (grubs, fish). To get rid of the bear, use something like meat or fish that the deer would ignore. Red pepper. Lots of red pepper.

I don't know if this will help, but it's 100% effective with bears in these parts.

Donuts. Preferably ones with glaze on them like Krispy Kreme. The bears will seek them out for MILES. It's like a bear magnet.

Perhaps you can place a few donuts like a trial that leads said bear into an area that would be more suited to his liking (miles away from your place?)

I'm not a big fan of baiting animals into traps, I think it's kind of cruel, but if the bear is a genuine danger there are worse thoughts.

Good luck.

How about asking the DNR if they wanted to have a "Bear Relocation Exercise" in your area?

I am having those thoughts. Have you considered some spring traps to disperse chili powder into the air upon contact? Perhaps a nice cyanide glaze for those donuts?

Personally, i think your bear would be easier to move when dead, but i wouldn't want you to run afoul of those who protect the king's wildlife.

If you find a way to get rid of them...
I don't think the Utah wolf policy (shoot, shovel, shut the hell up!!) works here.

I don't know if these would be legal for bear deterrence, but they look like they would be damn fun.
