While it looks like fun, I cringe when I think about all the shots taken without a proper backstop and especially all the wasted meat. Not to mention wounding some of the hogs to die slowly.

I agree with Bear. To me, it doesn't sound like a responsible or sporting way to hunt.

Kind of takes the sport out of hunting don't it? I would rather just be on the ground and hunt them the old fashion way.

They aren't hunting them for sport. Hogs are an infestation. They reek havoc on crops, and reproduce like rats. Backstop...Mother earth was behind each shot.

Default Dead Drunk..........

The perfect end for a happy hog. Years back when we collected the left over food scraps from the local school, I took out all of the prunes and placed them in a gallon jar and added some yeast. Covered with a piece of cloth and fermented for 3 months. I fed this to our stud Boar, This was one happy hog till the prunes kicked in....... If you guys would take all that corn and fermint it first and then feed the hogs they won't be able to run and will die happy!!

They are getting rid of a destructive nuisance. They are NOT hunting.

It's not meant to be sporting, it's meant to be as effective as possible. Kill as meany as you can, as quickly as you can.

I agree that there is no reason to waste all that meat - but the hogs they didn't get will eat the dead bodies.

On the other hand, the farmers are probably so fed up, they stopped caring.

Note: The trigger man needs to fix his gear problems before he hops in the heli.

I'm no lover of todays farmers, they are one reason we are in the hole. When the grocery shelves go bare and you have to live off the land, those hogs you shot last week could have been your food for today.......
