Default Game Camera's

How many of you use Game Camera's for spotting game in the areas that you hunt?
What brands/type do you use?
Do you think they are worth what they cost?

Until a couple years ago,I had never used any type of game camera for spotting game on any property that I hunted on. I always looked for signs, tracks, trails that the game made on the property, and would spend time out scouting the area.
I bought a couple cheap game camera's about 3-4 years ago,and they were junk. I could walk about 20 ft. in front of them, and I wouldn't even be in the picture when it finally went off.
I've used the ones that take "C" or "D" batteries, and they drain the batteries in just a couple days. The units that use "AA"'s work the best.

I bought two Bushnell Trophy Camera's in 2010.They worked great for 2 seasons, and then both broke. For what these things cost, they should last at least 10 years.
I'm trying to find out if Bushnell can/will repair them, depending on what it will cost me.

I thought I'd try a couple different ones this year since I'm hunting on a new lease, and don't have time to drive up there every week to do scouting.

I'm going to try out the Primos DPS camera,it is a daytime time-lapse camera that can take wide view pictures of an entire field out to around 250 yards. That will be great for seeing where game is coming into the fields from, and seeing their bedding habits. Using a 32gb SD card, and a 5 second interval,it will take approx.8640 photos a day,and the batteries are said to last 16 days on this setting.
Primos includes software for your pc,and it says you can view an entire days worth of pics in about 3 minutes, plus you can stop on a frame and zoom in on game in the pic. That's pretty cool!
Natchez has these on sale for $40,that's less than half of what I've seen them priced for in stores.

I also bought 2 of the new Browning Recon Force series game cameras. They looked pretty simple to program/use,and they have some nice features.
They were $120 at Natchez

Here are links to the ones I just bought if you want to read all the specs on them.

How do you make them? What parts besides a digital camera are needed, and where do you get them from.
I'd love to make my own,as you probably know the store bought ones suck because they cost too much, and don't last.

That's out of my league! I'm not good at messing with electrical stuff that small.
All I'd end up with is a ruined camera if I tried putting one together.
