Default first bird

I got my first goose this morning, I was using blackcloud 3 inch mag #2 shot. Word of advice blackcloud has some really tight shot patterns so aim well. If your wondering the gun was an 870 express that my girlfriend got me for our 5 year anniversary

What makes them nasty tasting? I've never eaten a goose, only a pheasant.
