Fanatics is the word my mom uses to describe my dad's and my enthusiasm for duck hunting. We hunt in Utah mostly the Great Salt Lake area. We run a 17 foot Jon boat with a 40 horse hyper and a 17' airboat with a Chevy Small Block 350. Hunts been open for almost 2 weeks and I have been out 6 times and my dad 8. I shoot a tristar 3.5 semi. It's my mud gun. I dont believe in expensive high end guns for hunting. They just get beat up. Hunting has been slower than normal, but hopefully it will start to turn around.

Its nice,,,I do some coastal hunting but timber is where its at for me. 1 dozen decoys at the most and little to no calling. It is more like pass shooting. The big decoy spreads on the coast are a blast for me to hunt but I enjoy only taking 15 min to get set up as opposed to an hr putting out huge spreads etc.
