Default Duck hunting

If I'm hunting on my own lands do I have to follow the schedule or can I hunt duck any time as long as it's on my land

I'm not a hunter but I do believe you need to follow the schedule.

The schedual. Normally sun rise to sun set. Those rules are in place for a reason. Now if you have trouble seeing your target and you take that shot anyways. Turns out it's not the duck thats in season. Now you are in a ton of trouble because you bent the rules.

Your land. NOT your ducks. They are a Federal Migratory bird, and the Federal Govt sets seasons, bag limits (and that is why you need a Migratory Bird Stamp)
