I guess I will have to tell all the guys around here they are in violation of Federal Law by selling their hides to the furbuyer who comes around, as a matter of fact hunters and trappers have been in violation of the law for years, I wonder how they avoid prosecution. I have a rack from a 10 pt whitetail buck on the wall that my grandpa shot in the 60's, hope the feds don't come try to take that.

Gfy hotrodz. Get informed before you talk ****. Your clearly not just a noob to this site you are a noob to hunting and I hope you don't own any firearms because you are clearly the type to be ignorant of the law. You feel free to pakage up a nice rack and some bear claws and ship them federal express.

Importing In order to legally transport into Vermont and possess big game that was legally taken in another state or country, a person must keep the tag that is required by the state or the country where the big game was taken. Each package of meat must be marked with the name of the person who took the animal, tag number, date, and state or country of origin.

Rules on Importing and Possession of Deer or Elk from Areas with Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and Captive Hunt Areas or Farms: It is illegal to import or possess legally taken deer or elk, or parts of deer or elk, from states and Canadian provinces that have, or have had Chronic Wasting Disease, or from any captive hunt or farm facilities, regardless of its disease history, with the following exceptions:

Meat that is boneless. Hides or capes with no part of the head attached. Clean skull-cap with antlers attached. Antlers with no other meat or tissue attached. Finished taxidermy heads. Upper canine teeth with no tissue attached.

That's just Vermont. I'm making an educated guess that's your home state. Now go to eBay and just buy some antlers and see if they come properly packaged. It's your Ass. And as I've repeatedly stated as if I'm speaking to a slow six year old STATE LAWS VARY!

Here is another state

(h) sale of a deer or the meat thereof. A person may sell the head and hide of a deer which has been lawfully taken to a licensed fur dealer or taxidermist, and may sell the hoofs and shinbones to any person;

You a licensed fur dealer or taxidermist hotrodz?

Point proven. I'm done arguing with someone that has the intelligence level of broccoli.

It is illegal to sell any part of a game animal a hunter harvests, not illegal to sell parts of farm raised animals.

They do raise Red stag and other game animals here in the U.S. and abroad.

When it comes to hides, different rules do apply.

Each year at the Federal Feed Grounds near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Tons of antlers from Moose, Elk, Deer Etc are sold at auction. These sheds are from winter feed grounds where thousands of animals winter during the annual migration. Buyers come from all over the world to buy these antlers. These items end up on knives and every thing else. The folks from Japan and China buy Bull Elk antlers and grind them up. They make an ancient form of "Viagra" from it. Is that where "Horney" comes from?
