Decided I was done waiting for someone to take me deer hunting. As luck would have it my father in law was looking to get back in the woods this year as well. So we are going hunting tomorrow together. I'm in WI and we will be hunting in a shotgun zone. Any thing I should bring that I may overlook?

Yep, hunting with your father in law. Make sure you walk behind him.

Try to find a rub line or scrapes, usually a buck will be close. If you have some horns, try rattling.

- shells in 00 or slug
- binos
- daypack with gear
- drinks and snacks
- gutting knife, preferably two or three of them
- short rope to drag with
- rag to wipe off hands

That's about the shortest list I can think of. Seen longer ones though.

No, saw plenty of deer activity. Not one deer though. Currently in muzzle loader season here in WI. May get out into the woods this weekend.
