Does anyone have any coyote hunting tips? What kind of behavioral patterns do you notice in them when you watch them? Are there particular ways to lure them in or keep them from noticing you? All help appreciated

I hunt them from a tree stand in the winter. If you have a river that freezes over. Lay out a Tan material that some what resembles a deer in the middle then from a tree stand about 200 yards out call them in with a doe call. Oh yeah sprinkle the lure with doe scent.
The coyotes will begin at the brush line and when the lure doesn't move They will believe it is a deer fallen on the ice. When that happens have fun.
If you do an internet search you'll find tons of helpful info. If you're serious about luring in 'yotes, you'll need to use a call, either electronic or mouth driven. Setup is everything, so having knowledge of your terrain and wind direction is key. Every dog acts differently, and if you're hunting an area that's already been called a lot, you'll have a tougher time than in virgin country.

Get yourself Randy Anderson's video Calling all coyotes. This will teash you a ton of stuff from how to get to your set up to how to use a mouth call. Great video and great hunting.
The draws and small streams are drying up in this part of OK. I'm using tree stands at ponds to kill coyotes and hogs. Sat. evening I zapped a coyote and her two pups at a pond.
What are the best rounds to use for coyote hunting in the 5.56 AR platform? Will standard military ball rounds do good enough or not? Just got an AR and it's gonna get some blood real soon (coyote blood).
I use the 50gr jhp federal value pack from wally world (blue box) about $77.00 per 200 here. My ar's like 62gr better but the 50gr shoots ok and groups good at 100-300yds. Also no matter where i go here in the west it's there at most of the wallys i stop at. The down side is that theres not good expansion close range, 20-50yds, still moving to fast. blue
