I cut it up yesterday, pulled the hide off like skinning deer. I noticed he was hit 5 times, 2x in the upper part oh the hind quarters, once above the shoulder, front leg hit, last shot to finish him was just below the ear.

We will do our next hunt this weekend. Maybe I can get a hog and several coyotes! I have not won anything this year but the extra meat is nice!

Utah DWR is shelling out $50 a dog until they run out of funds . They have check in stations set up around the state. I believe you need an ear and lower jaw for proof. A few weeks ago, our bunny spot was crawling with dogs so we are going to give it a try this weekend.
I also heard tell of a guy that was paying $50-$70 per hyde. I'm going to investigate that one.

Yes that is what I am referring to. Here in the "Border" lands the Coyotes killed in Wyo. and Idaho are being turned in down Utah way. I know a cowboy who drives to Wyo. every week from Woodruff, Ut. He pays for his diesel fuel with coyote jaws.
The wolves are killing the hell out of the coyotes. In a few years there will only be wolves. That is OK we can hunt them year around no license no season.

Either that wolf is really huge or you are really short.
It would be nice to fund one of the many firearms I want while helping out the deer herds.

I wish they'd put the bounty back on in these parts, I always heard it talked about by my dad and grandparents back in the old days but I never have actually had the opportunity to collect on it, 50 bucks a yote would thin them out pretty darn good around here.

The annual kill by all methods runs around 30,000 per year. The cost of coyotes to the state revenues is staggering. Government Hunters kill some 20,000 mostly with airplanes. Livestock companies hire professional trappers and private trappers and hunters take the rest. It seems the more you kill the more they breed. The old Sioux adage says, "A coyote will howl over the last mans grave".
