I go to a rabbit keeper and find a rabbit that will squeal when you pick him up by the scruff of the neck. If there is a coyote nearby he is coming in short order. If you find a young rabbit it will squeal for years.

Put the rabbit in the area where you plan to hunt several hours before hunting. It is almost impossible to carry a cage into your hunting area without making noise.

Blucoondawg I tried that with Big Antelope Jack Rabbit. Problem is he would just grab a fox and beat the hell out of them. I never got to shoot. I sold the Jack to a Chinese Cafe.

We use an alpha Dogg as well. Getting much better results than my homemade radio shack caller. The Alpha Dogg has good sounds, the remote is well thought out and range hasn't been an issue. We are getting some distortion on really cold nights. I chalked it up to the batteries getting cold. The next time out I threw a hot hands packet in the battery compartment and still got some distortion. Anyone else experience this?

I had a little distortion but I haven't changed my batteries since I got it, I am sure it's time. We have another contest coming soon, will have to get out and check.
