Try traps, I do. Get the Montana could springs, fully modified. They are the best. If not give her a 20 gauge with #5 shot. Should work just fine, and less recoil.

They will prefer to kill fresh over eating something that has been dead for a couple days.

Coyotes around here will find a cow in the middle of giving birth then rip the calf up and run off. The calf is either dead or will die soon and the cow will leave it, then they'll come back and eat. Yep they need to be shot every time a person gets a chance. Shoot a wet female and you just killed the whole litter, which is great.
