Black Bear Hunting license

Hello guys!
I live in Indiana, and I was wondering what the cost of a license is? While i'm on this topic, I am wondering how I would go about getting my rifle past the Canadian Border to go to Alaska to hunt Polar bear. Any suggestions/thoughts?

http://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/files/fw-2010_Hunting_Regulations.pdf if it is not in there then I doubt you can hunt it in Indiana.

If you are flying to AK then you declare your firearms at the check in counter have TSA inspect them. Load them in to the plane and fly to Alaska.

If you are driving then you are going to need to contact Canada Mounted Police. Welcome

They will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do. Also remember you are only allowed to bring so much ammo into Canada.

Pretty sure you can't hunt polar bears in Alaska.

Before worrying about getting your guns thru Canada, you should worry about becoming an Eskimo. Hunting of polar bears in Alaska is limited to subsistent hunting by Native Alaskans.

Bless you for your efforts at controlling the ursine menace.

You can hunt them in Canada tho, probably cheaper than you would be able to in AK if you were legally allowed. Price a moose or grizzly hunt in both, you'll see what I mean. You can hunt black bear in AK without a guide but must have one for grizzly. Gets spendy quick.

Ah I see, oh well @ the Polar Bear. Though I am still interested in Grizzly, I suppose I'll have to contact Dudley Do-right and see what they say about me going to Canadia to hunt Grizzly. As far as blackbear goes, I know they're not in Indiana, but I see (From wikipedia) that their range includes the extreme eastern tips of Kentucky and Tenessee (SP?). Since I'm a bit dumb, and my computer is pretty slow. I wonder how much it would be to hunt Black Bear in either state, I am willing to drive of course :D
