Oh, yes all of the above. I hunt Ruff Grouse ,Prairie Chickens and Chuckers, Ring Necks. I also hunt Desert Quail in Arizona. One of my all time favorites is the Southern Bob White the class act of wild bird hunting. It is so far back East to hunt the Southern Bob White and the populations have been low in recent years.

Yep there's a limit on those. I mostly hunt planted pheasant though, just from lack of a better option.

Beautiful looking Gordon! Glad he is doing well! I have not been pheasant hunting in a couple years. I would love to find some quail or pheasant close, we used to go to South Dakota. My son is 10 and wants to go up, maybe next year.

Default Participated in the Rooster Rush

Spent 5 days near Pierre, SD.

Got a limit of birds everyday. We hunted with some friends on their farms Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Hunted on a preserve Tuesday, then walked some road ditches and such on Wednesday.

The birds in the picture below were taken on our day hunt at Broken Arrow Farms.

When I was going out target shooting today a Great male ringneck walked right out in front of my car. The 4 of us just watched it and I decided to back up and park . The underbrush was so thick even my old American water spaniel would have looked back at me. Once he was in it, you could not find him. Nice to see as the State does not stock that area. He's got plenty of food, water and cover.
