Oklahoma is pretty good also. Everything from mountian to desert. Deer, Hogs, some Elk. Lots of small game. All kinds of fishing from small panfish to big bass and catfish and even trout in some areas in the winter. Plus we have plenty public hunting areas.

Idaho: highest percentage of public lands in the west. Home to the largest wilderness area in the lower 48. Ample hunting and fishing opportunities.

What are you studying at university?

I have hunted, fished, and camped in North Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming. Wyoming was the best place for me to live.

Welcome! I am partial to New York but not because of our draconian gun laws, because its arguably one of the most beautiful and bountiful states in the Union. We have so many mountains, valley's, fields, woods, forests, rivers streams, ponds and lakes that its hard to pick a spot that isnt awesome (NY City and Albany Suck)! Sadly, until our current Governor is tossed out and his laws rescinded, I ask those outside of NY not to come and spend your money here, it only encourages them to do worse not fix what they screwed up!

Pennsylvania is really nice!

Don't forget turkeys!

I love the hills in my part of Kentucky. I have always thought this area and Tenn are some of the most beautiful land there is. I have been out west and can not deny the greatness out there. But for me it is the "hills" here in the old mountains

The American election system is working against rural citizens. The growing urban areas are making the rules for more independent less populated counties.
This has happened in Colorado and New Mexico as well. The urban areas are expanding very fast. The urban dwellers are more interested in government support than constitutional freedoms.

DrumJ, Westerners like the High Lonesome. I have been to Ky. love the Bourbon. Ky is a small state 39th in size with 4.2 million people in its borders.
The western U.S. is not just about the big mountains. It is the low population and massive amounts of public lands. Ky. has more people than Montana and Wyoming added together. The public lands are larger in the west than most small eastern states.
