Actually, the drying of the skin and flesh create a bond around any holes you create when killing or gutting the animal. My wife and I have an air skinner, and we now use it every time we process anything larger than a rabbit. Less wasted meat on the hide afterward. Another plus: think of the body mass you can add to your "trophy" in your pictures!
