Default 9 point Kentucky buck

Took this 9 point in 2010 modern gun season in Whitley county Kentucky with my Savage model 111---30.06 at 150 yds.

nice buck .....is the tall rack a common genetic trait where you hunt ...what was the age of deer?i personally love the tall racks ,over wide ones .from pics he looked heavy ...lots of good eating .kentucky is a sleeper state ! kansas and illinois get to many cudos ....id rather hunt kentucky anyday.again great buck

Thx. I don't think a tall rack is any more common in Kentucky than any other state. There is just variety. There are monsters lurking in Daniel Boone National Forest, just gotta cross paths with one. If I had to guess I'd say he was three years and he WAS a heavy deer. My brother in the hanging pic is just shy of 300 lbs.

Nice buck........ When I worked on the railroad I saw a lot of big deer in Whitley County.
