SBR and Corbon are the only mfg's of 458 SOCOM ammunition.

SBR's website says they are all sold out,as well as Midway USA. I believe Cheaper than dirt also sells it,but I bet they're sold out also.

Most of us that shoot the 458 SOCOM load our own ammo.Mine has never seen a factory round of ammo,I strictly handload for all of my weapons except for Rimfires.

That is a hard round to come up with and I would look at reloading if you shot this gun very much. You could save a ton at $50/box!

Yea that seems to be the tip I'm getting from a lot of people. A friend of mine reloads his ammo. I'm gonna look into buying the materials and start loading soon.

If you do want to reload for the 458,buy your brass directly from Starline. You'll save $$ buying from them, but you'll have to buy a minimum of 250pcs.Unless the price has changed,it was $204 / 250pcs,the last time I bought some.
I use Lee dies, and do not crimp my bullets.I have tried crimping, but all it did was give me pressure spikes on my loads.
You will also want to use Imperial Sizing Wax for lube on the 458 SC brass, most other case lube's don't work very good with this brass, and you will have stuck case problems when re-sizing your brass.

Up front, you won't save much loading your own 458 ammo, but just by reusing the brass, you save every-time you reload a case.I have some brass that has been reloaded 8-10 times, and is still in very good shape.Just keep it trimmed within spec, and don't load too hot-this brass will last a long time.
