If you shoot a deer in the shoulders with any centerfire from a 243 and up you are going to lose a lot of meat on the shoulders. The upside is you can find the deer. I would rather lose meat from the shoulders than the whole deer. I mostly hunt with a shotgun slug. Most of the time I aim for the neck. But if I am in heavy brush or the shot is at the edge of the shotguns range I am taking the safe shot in the shoulder.

Not like this tho. The exit wound was bigger than my head. And no I'm not over exaggerating it. Usually it is no bigger than a baseball with my 30-06.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

This is over kill. Grizzly 50 bmg. This thing weighs like 50 lbs, cost 5$ a shot but gives you a gungasim every time you pull the trigger.
