One eating the first fish?

i caught a clam once. Reeling it, slight drag, and the lure zig zagging back and forth. Took a lot of ribbing for that one as it was a company outing

Thats funny. At least you didnt catch a dork fish. YOU might have felt like a dork though.

My question is-were you using a corndog as bait??? Lol

IRC it was a minnow. Think the hook just junk down to the bottom and I probably dragged across the open shell.

Same day, shortly after I snagged the clam... my boat partner lost his hook and bait to a mean pike. My line was already in, so I tossed it right about where he should have been going in the same direction. Little (18" or so) guy hit my steel leader line. He was a feisty little guy I had to set loose. Same trip I pulled in a 42" pike that was too damn skinny to win the contest, so I set him loose. Contest was on weight, and a co-worker pulled in a FAT 39" pike.

About 10 years ago, my father and I were putting up chicken fence around one of our fields that is beside a pond. (The geese will destroy acres and acres of crops). We were almost finished when about 20-30 geese came walking up over a hill and started eating our soybeans. So dad picks up a rock yells some swear words at the geese and throws the rock as hard he can. After the birds scatter there on the ground lay 2 dead geese. 2 birds one stone.

I made him go buy a lottery ticket later that day...

There just isn't anything that tought me how to shoot better than my ole daisy red rider as a kid. When you can see the projectile in flight, you get the ballistic qualities of your gun.

With that said, I was on safari in my backyard. We had an old stockade fence. I was standing on something looking for quary. About 100 " away and twenty feet up on a two story garage roof was a robin. I sighted that bird in and raised the muzzle of that bb gun up and up some more. Squeezed the trigger, watched that "morter shell" fly. It hit the bird, feathers went everywhere and it flew off. Everyone was happy.

My robin hunting days didn't last long. My older brother saw me kill one. Made me clean it, cook and eat it. Robins will not be part of my prep plan.
