I shoot 100 grain federals-blue or maroon box-and winchester super x through my mossberg 800b and iv killed every deer iv shot at w it. I killed one two years ago at 325 yards that ran maybe 20 yards. I like the winchester 100 grain power max loads now also. I havent shot a deer w them yet, BUT if they will blow a hole as big as a baseball through a yotes ribs I think they wld work well on deer also. Ask that question nov. 12 when rifle deer season opens in mo and ill tell you how they do lol

My Ruger M77 Mark II in .243 Win. loves factory 100 grn. Remington corlokt. That gun will cut it's own bullet holes @ 100 yrds off the bench. As far as whitetails, it's deadly. Most of the deer I've shot I found the bullet on the off side just under the hide. I guess that means all the energy is spent inside the deer and none of it goes to waste.
